ABOUT OUR CLASSES

Toddlers & Preschool
After School
Classes

Our classes are a great place to make new friends in a fun, safe environment. Children learn a variety of skills to aid them in any sport they may wish to take up in the future – although we hope they continue with gymnastics, of course.

Our classes help improving fitness, fundamentals, coordination, body control, confidence, self-esteem, listening skills and cognitive learning.

We pride ourselves in providing safe, fun and challenging classes for both boys and girls from 3 years of age.

We structure our sessions on the age and ability of our gymnasts in order to cater for the personal potential of your child. Your child's class may change depending on their age and ability as they grow and develop in our club.

Please note:

We do not have any changing areas / facilities so we ask that your child arrives at their gymnastics sessions dressed and prepared. Therefore please can you ensure that your child:

  • Wears appropriate kit - this can be a gymnastics leotard or any tight-fitting leggings, shorts, t-shirts or vests. Please refrain from wearing any crop tops for gymnastics sessions.

  • Is not wearing any dresses, jeans, hoodies or zipped items and socks must all be removed prior to entering into the session.

  • Remove any jewellery including earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches / fitness tracking devices.

  • Tie hair up so it is out of your face. It is advisable to wear long hair in a plait or bun so that it does not get caught whilst you’re are being supported by a coach or on a piece of apparatus.

General Gymnastics Programme

Our general gymnastics classes take place at our dedicated facility in the grounds of Ashlyns School in Berkhamsted. You can find us between the Berko Astro and Aspire Centre - please follow the signs for the Astro and you will see a building with a large chimney on it (this is a dedicated facility).  We offer classes for boys and girls from 3 years old.

Our classes focus on developing gymnastics skills while also developing balance, concentration, determination and perseverance.

Gymnasts progress through our badge system as they develop their gymnastics ability and graduate through our novice, Intermediate and advanced classes.  See our progression tree for more information  Classes run from 4pm every weekday afternoon and from 9am on a Saturday morning.

Watching Week

As we do not have a viewing gallery or area, we offer a 'Watching Week' for one week every term. This will allow parents / carers to watch their child within their gymnastics class and see how much they have progressed in a fun and safe environment. Dates for the 'Watching Weeks' are advertised in advance within the newsletters and on our facebook page.

Preschool

We run specific classes that cater for the little ones with low-level apparatus and accessible toilets.

Structured independent coach-lead session, for 3 year olds are available on a Saturday morning - please register for these classes by joining the waiting list.

We run a number of different classes throughout the week for children aged 3+ which take place in our smaller preschool gymnastics room with dedicated junior equipment.

Class fees

All classes are payable a month in advance via our management system - Love Admin. All classes are £8.50 per session and a monthly direct debit figure is calculated over the total year. Therefore, number of weeks in a year x weekly class fee and divided by 11 months. This is because we do not run our usual sessions within any school holidays.

There may be some occasions where due to where the school holidays fall, a bank holiday may sit outside of the calculated class costs. We will advise you when a make-up session has been organised so your child does not miss out on any sessions.

We offer a sibling discount, which is applied to the family member with the lowest fees.
